What does Ariana Grande, Halsey, Post Malone, and Travis Scott all have in common? Next to making music, they all ended the month of January with songs that placed on Billboard’s “The Hot 100.” Below are the top five tracks that secured hot spots in the final moments of January 2019.

  1. “7 Rings” by Ariana Grande. After being released January 18th, this song instantly started to climb the charts. Last week was the song’s first time as number one, and Billboard predicts that this song will uphold the position this week.
  2. “Without Me” by Halsey. Halsey’s song moved down a slot as in the week prior, her song held the number one spot. It has spent 16 weeks on the Billboard charts and is predicted to stay at number two for this week.
  3. “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)” by Post Malone & Swae Lee’s. Having spent 14 weeks on the hot charts, this motion picture song has slowly started to decline the charts. Week prior, this song was sitting at slot two and had previously topped at slot number one.
  4. “Thank U, Next” by Ariana Grande. With the release of her other song “7 Rings”, this song has started to climb the charts once again. Last week it was at position number five, but in its 12 weeks of being on the charts its highest accomplishments is number 1.
  5. “Sicko Mode” by Travis Scott. Taking a two slot decline, “Sicko Mode” is slowly climbing down the Hot Charts. After 25 weeks of being on the charts, it is going to be unique to see where this song goes after being performed at the 2019 Super Bowl.
