To make the Super Bowl interesting during halftime, the annual Super Bowl halftime show occured on February 3rd, 2019 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The performers this year were Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and Big Boi.
Maroon 5 began the performance with Adam Levine singing one of Maroon 5’s signature songs “Harder to Breath” then went on to sing “This Love” from their 2002 debut album Songs About Jane. After Maroon 5’s opening performance, they showed a short clip of “Sweet Victory” from the kids cartoon Spongebob Squarepants.
After a small part of “Sweet Victory” played, an animation of a meteor representing Travis Scott’s Astroworld album was shown plunging into the Mercedes-Benz stadium. This followed with the song “Sicko Mode,” by Travis Scott, and “I Like the Way you Move,” by Big Boi.
Maroon 5 then came back and finished the show with“She Will Be Loved” and their big hit from 2015, “Sugar.” At the very end, they sang “Moves Like Jagger.”
The halftime show of 2019 had many familiar songs, and was one to never forget.
