Eggnog is a traditional drink that most people like to consume during the holiday season. Some people use it in recipes and some people drink it straight from the bottle. But what I don’t understand is why people think it is so good. If you look up the traditional recipe, to make it you have to use RAW EGGS! Eggs have been proven to cause Salmonella if they are consumed raw or under cooked, which in this case they are raw and inside of a drink. This disease can cause you to get unpleasant symptoms such as fatigue, fever and horrible abdominal pain. Why do people risk catching this by drinking a drink that doesn’t even taste that good? I understand that some people believe that Christmas traditions are important, but I believe you need to be aware of what you put in your body before you consume it.
